GOOD Facebook News

Facebook announced it will make the user experience more “meaningful” by ranking posts on your news feed based on how close you are to the person and the potential interactions a post may initiate. This move has come after the social media giant received much criticism about all the meaningless clutter on a person’s news feed.

From now on posts from friends and family (people) will be ranked higher than posts from media, businesses, organisations and public figures (pages).

So what does this mean for you?

The companies relying predominantly on their organic posts to engage with their customers will be affected the most. No matter how many followers they have organic posts (free advertising) won’t have the reach they used to have.

But that is not necessarily a bad thing.

Ads will now give you an even greater edge over your competition who rely solely or heavily on organic posts.

Even better, less posts on your target audiences’ news feed from all the pages they are connected to means more opportunity for your ads to appear higher on their news feed.

In other words; this is a great time for your ads to be seen!
